The second cycle challenged a new cohort of students to translate universal design principles into practical, user-centered solutions for People of Determination.
The second cohort of the Universal Design for Inclusion Program brought together over 450 students from six universities across the UAE. Students submitted a total of 51 projects which all reflected a strong focus on practical, user-centric solutions shaped by lived experiences.
This cohort marked the launch of the Universal Design for Inclusion Program reaching more than 500 students across 11 campuses in the UAE.
A digital application that passively tracks patterns in daily activity, including movement, sleep quality, and phone usage. By identifying changes over time, it helps build a clearer picture of day-to-day functioning for people living with MS and similar conditions.

A smart navigation app designed to support people with mobility challenges in navigating everyday spaces. Mashi highlights accessible routes, locates ramps and elevators, and provides updates to help users move with greater ease and confidence.

A communication support tool designed to improve interactions with people who have communication or cognitive differences. Echo provides simple, real-time guidance on how to listen, respond, and interact more effectively, helping reduce misunderstandings and improve everyday communication.
