NMSS Opens Second Cycle of Research Grants with AED 4 Million in Funding
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) has opened applications for the second cycle of its research grants, developed in partnership with the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. Researchers must submit a Letter of Intent by 6 September, followed by the full application by 7 October 2024.
The Society is allocating up to AED 4 million in total funding this year, with a maximum of AED 500,000 available per project. Grants support projects for one year, extendable up to three years.
The NMSS research grants aim to accelerate scientific discovery in areas such as paediatric MS, AI-powered diagnosis, clinical patterns in the MENA region, and access to treatment. Research priorities were defined in collaboration with local experts, global advisors, and people living with MS in the UAE.
“NMSS is committed to accelerating breakthroughs in MS care through dedicated research funding,” said H.E. Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Vice Chair of NMSS.
“Our collaboration with DoH strengthens the reach and impact of these grants.”
